EARTHDAY.ORG is the global organizer of Earth Day and the largest recruiter of environmental movements worldwide. EARTHDAY.ORG believes each Earth Day has the ability to "drive a year of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to create a new plan of action for our planet." This years' theme has been chosen as "Invest in our Planet." This can be done through many initiatives, such as planting trees, participating in cleanups, ending plastic consumption, practicing climate literacy and consuming sustainable fashion.

At Banyan we will echo that message by creating awareness about the environmental challenges facing our world today, as well as providing our students opportunities to take action and make a difference. We believe that their little hands are capable of making a BIG difference!
